For as long as I can remember, I always chose the SAMSUNG GALAXY phone as my phone of choice. I picked the phone primarily due to social programming and listening to others and their opinions. I had never had a issue with the device, because it did what i needed it to do; Facebook, Instagram, texting, phone calls, etc.
But, when I started my journey as a Penetration Tester, I realized the true weakness of not only the SAMSUNG, but also other phones, including the iPhone. See, what they dont tell you us that the phone is protected so that you cannot configure the phone the way you would like too, that will give you advantages over the file systems, as well as downloading special software, that will turn your phone into the ultimate hacking device.
Which is why it was divine intervention when my S22 Ultra suddenly stopped working. I could not recieve calls in certain areas of town, and It became frustrating to say the least. Which is why I made the decision to turn to the Google Pixel 9 XL. And that reason being the one thing that none of the other phones had: OEM UNLOCKING !!!! What? OEM unlocking. Yes. Many who own phones dont understand what it is.
OEM unlocking refers to the process of removing restrictions imposed by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) on an Android device’s bootloader, and allows the user to customize their device by installing custom software, such as custom recoveries and ROMs. However, OEM unlocking may also void the device’s warranty and increase security risks. So what? Our devices and being tracked and monitored by outside forces anyway right, so you might as well customize it to your liking !!!
There are many ways to unlock the bootloader and install custom software and turn your device into a powerful handheld machine.
